Teachers of Public, Private, Alternative, and Home Schools:

Are you interested in adding your student's artwork to this database?

The significance and usefulness of this resource will grow with the addition of artwork. All children’s artwork is welcome. Please consider volunteering your efforts and contributing the art of your students. Artwork representing certain categories is particularly needed. To volunteer your student’s work to the Web Archive of Children’s Art, contact:

The following protocol is followed prior to any artwork that is used on the database:
  • All artwork needs to be accompanied by a signed parent consent and waiver form.
  • No student names, or references that would establish identity of a student can be seen on artwork.
  • Student identities will remain anonymous.
  • Teachers will read a script to their students that provides the information needed to complete the artwork.
  • Teachers will be responsible for filling out information about each child whose work is submitted. The Archive Supervisor will complete information regarding the school’s characteristics.
  • Artwork is to be completed as early in the school year as possible, or near the beginning of any course.
  • Teachers are not to help or give any aid to students as they work.
  • Once added to the database, if requested, artwork will be returned.

  • Instructions and forms will be made available to teachers who are interested in participating in this valuable project.

Please contact the address above, and thank you for your consideration.
